This album is hard to categorize. It's a low-fi, acoutic masterpiece, filled with bizzare, geeky, funny songs (and some pointed political satire). "The Cute Little Puppy Dog Song" has been heard on the Dr. Demento show a number of times.
The title track ("Medieval People") refers to those silly people who dress up like knights and fair maidens and hit each other with sticks. Yes, I'm talking about Renaissance Fairs. If anyone plays or performs the song at an actual Renaissance Fair, you are eligible for a big prize. Just send me a recording (digital or analog), contact info at www.marksilverman.com

Addicting
author: Clare in California
This CD is absolutely addicting, deliciously evil and truly heart felt. Silverman says it all in a way that is tragic, sentimental, and satirical all at once. Great music for when you've had a bad day, a good day, or a lot of beer. I fall out laughing every time I hear "Praise the Lord, Pass the Ammo"!

Excellent

A great piece of satirical genius. 'The Gorilla Joke' has to be heard to be believed, 'Fuck The Homeless' is highly whimsical and 'House Of Cards' is a great track in its own right. I hope his new album is as good, if not better.

This guy has got a great sense of humor! The tunes are catchy too, which can be a little inconvenient when you find yourself singing the Penis song in public =)

Most excellent!
author: Tom Sheen
Very entertaining laugh-out-loud stuff, with enough variation and good enough musicianship to stand up to many a listen. And yes, some thoughtful pieces too (House of Cards is excellent)
