Album Notes

Ziggy and Me is a single recorded live at the Skylark Cafe in Seattle in October of 2010 by Silvermouse.

Silvermouse is a collage of soundfusion. Deep techno, spiralling trance-forms, gypsy instrumentals, haunting flute, psychedelic guitar, massive beats, earth rhythms.

Trance/Techno junkie meets acoustic gypsy. Silvermouse creates a live techno-acoustic freestyle cosmiverse, at times banging, at others ambient, always tranced out.

The duo is made up of Justin Handley and Miss Jojo. Justin Handley is a classically trained improvisational musician who performs, loops and layers live electric guitar, violin, mandolin and flute. Justin’s melodies and rhythms range from psychedelic guitar, eastern European gypsy, Celtic fiddle and Middle Eastern arrangements.

Miss Jojo, who has roots in the UK rave and Goa party scenes, creates her own electro-Wonderland by making and mashing up fat beats, basslines and trippy trance-forms. Jojo’s electronica nods to dubstep, mellow techno, downtempo D&B an trance. It’s all original and all played and looped live.

Silvermouse is a mind-altering experience for the dancefloor cowboy. The blending and weaving of real live instruments and live techno creates space within space, and colorful palettes of sound for the journeys of both the dancefloor voyager and the moonbather contemplating the stars.

The duo live and create in Madrid, a small town in the desert south of Santa Fe, NM. They have been touring extensively in the UK and the southwest and west coast US, playing high profile electronic music festivals and live music venues, and are currently working on their second album.
