Simon Morel has a music career that stretches over the last 15 years, having played the UK university circuit in a variety of bands from a mid 90's pop combo to a 12 piece funk orchestra.
In addition to having recently returned from a tour covering Japan, England, Wales, France, Germany and Spain, Simon has recently finished recording his debut solo album 'Songs from the City' - out now!
A regular of the Sydney solo acoustic singer-songwriter scene, Simon has played at various Sydney and Newcastle venues including The Basement, The Exchange Hotel, The Commercial, Unity Hall, Roxbury, Empire Hotel, Iguana Bar and Australian Youth Hotel.
Alongside his live performances, Simon has featured as a live studio guest on 'Arvos' on FBi 94.5, on ‘AcousticA’ on 2SER 107.3FM and 'Songwriters Across Australia' on 40 local stations nationwide.
In addition to his solo career, Simon also works with Amanda Easton (www.amandaeaston.com) and Jeannette Mangan as a session guitarist. They are currently performing live across Sydney.
