“Sinbeats definitely know how to create a mood with their music, and it’s hard not to get carried away
listening to their rich sounds and unforgettable melodies. A varied and interesting release from a very
accomplished band.”
UNSCENE MAGAZINE (UK)
“Sinbeats are a band who have taken their time & come up with a final product that can compete alongside
modern doom mongers like Interpol. If they can infiltrate the UK scene, they'll murder us all!”

“The performance and sound production of the guitars, bass and drums are first-rate and create vibrant and
memorable rock rhythms. Sinbeats serves up a welcome dose of melancholy alternative rock.”
DARK REALMS MAGAZINE (USA)
"The new self-titled album from Germany's Sinbeats has everything that makes gothic rock great."
GRAVE CONCERNS Ezine (NY/USA)
“Sinbeats present a dark pop that varies from almost gothic tunes to catchy songs full of great guitar work
and strong base lines. The versatility of the voice work should be highlighted, sometimes deep and scratchy
and others smooth and light-hearted. (…) Great compositions, in which the chorus always includes a change
that catches your attention and gives the song a special energy, full of quality.”

“Lejos de las modas que dominan la escena de la música oscura actual, no encontramos bases electrónicas ni voces
distorsionadas. Lo mas atractivo de la banda es sin dudas la voz principal, profunda y melodiosa.”

“The vocals are epic – deep with a subtle unemotional yet underlying passionate element. The heavy guitar and mood
driven percussion creates a rich melodic picture of dramatic indulgence in the depth of the minds behind Sinbeats.”

“Incisive linee di basso, chitarre belle grintose e sempre in primo piano, un percussionismo energetico, una voce
ottimamente impostata ed un gran gusto per la melodia fanno di "Sinbeats" un disco assai piacevole, godibilissimo nel
suo essere dichiaratamente pop senza risultare stucchevole, tutt'altro!”

“La construcción de melodías y los cambios que introducen en los temas hablan sutilmente de su talento. Los
estribillos siempre son pegadizos a la vez que llenos de nostalgia. ”
www.sonidobscuro.com (Spain)

punktet. Sehr ausgereift!”

The new self-titled album from Germany's Sinbeats has everything that makes gothic rock great. With moody verses giving way to driving, sing-along choruses, songs like album opener "Down The Line" and "Annabel Lee," a rendition of Edgar Allen Poe's love poem, are anthemic and powerful, and "Burning All Stars" is so upbeat and enthusiastic it could almost be described as perky. Fans of The Damned will particularly enjoy "I Want My Analogue Life Back," which draws heavy inspiration from the seminal dark punk band, right down to the jangling guitars and larger than life backing vocals, while the bluesy twang of "Poor Jack" and "Shell Beach" inject hints of country in the vein of Nick Cave without detracting from the band's dramatic atmosphere. So many of today's gothic bands seem afraid to really rock out, but Sinbeats thankfully have no such reticence, and even the occasional uneven moments, like the off-key slips that present themselves on "Farewell," somehow just add to the band's enthusiasm and charm. Check this out if you're a fan of that classic sound that doesn't skimp on gothic drama or good old-fashioned rock music.

Sinbeats are a German band who started out back in the acid days of the early 90's, beginning as a 3 piece & producing two lps during the decade, 'Get High' & 'Howl'. After having a break they are back with a new lp which was recorded between 2004-2006. With a few line up changes we find ourself here with their self titled LP. The band are unknown in the UK but have received praise & good feedback across Europe & even South America!
Sinbeats have an organised way of working. Even their press relewase has their Influences in alphabetical order & are obvious from the first thud of the drums on opening track 'Down The Line', as the bass comes in that these guys are fans of the darker side of the 80's. The rhythm side of the band mimicks Joy Division in poppy kind of way whilst singer Harry Wolff's moody vocals give hints of Ian Curtis in his prime. The production is crisp & the drums sound thunderous. The opening church organ of 'All Your Sundays' leads you into their world. Spikey guitars & deep treated vocals recall Bauhaus whilst Cure like guitar shimmers over the top, it's all so dark but with a pop edge.
Songs like 'Annabel Lee' show another side of the band, less disorted guitar & Nick Cave style vocals create drama until the trusted chug of the guitar returns to kick off the chorus. Singer Harry Wolffe has all the tones to create the mood of the music. Sinbeats as a band play together like rabid zombies. Their music recalls all the horror & doom of bands like Bauhaus & Faith era Cure but with a huge Alternative rock edge. The guitars are heavy & distorted whilst the songs are catchy & sing along. They have some interesting ideas & some great songs. Sinbeats are a band who have taken their time & come up with a final product that can compete alongside modern doom mongers like Interpol. If they can infiltrate the UK scene, they'll murder us all!

"...this release has seen a line up change and a re-definition of their sound. Their influences include bands such as Joy Division, The Sisters, The Mission, And Also the Trees, The Cure, Siouxsie and Nick Cave and this is definitely reflected to a point in their music. The album contains trad goth sounding tunes such as Down The Line and Annabel Lee, moody and dark without overdoing it. Some tracks definitely have an new indie sound to them, as well as definite deathrock, wave and folk influences in others. Sinbeats definitely know how to create a mood with their music, and it’s hard not to get carried away listening to their rich sounds and unforgettable melodies. A varied and interesting release from a very accomplished band." www.sinbeats.net

Sinbeats’ self named CD is the third full length of the German band heading from Frankfurt and existing since 1990. The new album born after a long time of sound re-definition and after a new line-up change. The sound of the band succeeds into blending the ‘80s new wave/rock sounds (some names that come up into my mind are New Model Army, Alarm, Red Lorry Yellow Lorry, Fields Of The Nephilim) with ‘90s/’00s post rock melodies. If tracks like “All the Sundays” or “Shell beach” recall me The Suede, “I want my analogue life now” surprised me with an opening part a la Misfits just to change into something like the latest Franz Ferdinand as well as Sinbeats’ ballads like “Annabel Lee” or “Durango”. The band’s sound is powerful and sincere and they convince with their blend of rockish pop wave.
