ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Described as “a force of nature” by fans, Since Antarctica emerged on the rock scene ready, willing, and able to rock your face off. Their high-energy shows rivet audiences with musically sophisticated original songs performed with passion, virtuosity, and fun.

Shannon Woods commands audiences’ attention with soulful, powerhouse vocals (no twee whispering here) and a captivating on-stage presence. Mutton-chopped guitarist Walt Rieker slings driving, metal-tinged riffs with the assured swagger and charisma of a true rock star. Frantzie — the man needs but one name — brings an irresistible bassline as well as complex, emotionally raw songwriting and vocal harmonies. And drummer Chip Burden backs it all up with solid, frenetic beats to help ensure that each and every face present is thoroughly rocked off.

“[Since Antarctica] wails with an unbridled aggression… [B]ig, flashy moments like the harmony-drenched closing of ‘Narcissus Shore’ make this a polished debut.”
– Catherine P. Lewis, The Washington Post

“The songwriting on two tracks in particular, ‘Your Delilah,’ and ‘Beautiful Agony,’ are both intense and poignant, receiving the immense emotional release they desire.”
– Marcus Dowling, On Tap Magazine
