The Singing Milkmaids have been delighting audiences since 2002. Originally appearing at the Ohio Renaissance Festival, they have since branched out to other Renaissance Festivals and even Civil War Reenactments including: The Tennessee Renaissance Festival, The Kentucky Highland Festival, Perryville Battlefield Reenactment, and Shakertown of Pleasant Hills Kentucky. With their roots deeply planted in traditional Celtic music; their expansive repertoire includes many period renaissance songs and even some madrigals. They do witty satirical songs as well as bawdy comedy, and beautiful ballads. These girls can do almost everything. The five ladies perform in two- to five-part harmony occasionally accompanied by Bossy on Bodhran.
The Milkmaids currently have two albums out: Watersing and On the Wash. They also are working on a renaissance Christmas album, and college degrees in various subjects including: Surgical Technology, Fine Arts, and Mechanical Engineering. Their dedication to interesting vocal music is only surpassed by their love of chocolate and each other.
