It's great to hear some one writing and playing 60s guitar oriented pop! All of the tracks have really good lyrics and hooks, but my favs are 'Damaged Goods' (yes, Virginia, that's a Rickenbacker), 'The Girl (With the sunshine in her eyes)', and 'October Girls'.

If you love mid-60s pop but find 40 years of radio play has dulled the freshness & energy of the genuine article, you need this CD! Like an alchemist, Steve Dix transmutes life's base elements--i.e., problems with finding & keeping a decent girlfriend--into hooky pop gold, circa 1966. The mix of simple but catchy tunes, energetic beats, crisp guitar work--all overlaid with Dix's distictive ordinary-guy delivery of the honest & funny lyrics ("She's the sort of girl who gets her face in the press as a GIRLFRIEND FROM HELL; She's the sort of girl who can't be trusted with a knife if you tell a lie") makes this a keeper. "The Girl (with the Sunshine in her Eyes)" and "Golddigger" are two of the catchiest tunes I've heard all year.
