The Sireens. We’ve found an answer for music afficiandos that like quality, fresh ideas and variety. We play originals and music you love. The CD "Loveliness" is a jouney of original music, blending voices and instruments into a unique sound of soul, jazz and pop.
Our hope is that you enjoy listening to it as much as we enjoyed creating and it.
The Sireens consists of:
Edie Baumgart, Vocalist & producer, songwriter, Edie started her performing career singing many different styles including bluegrass, pop and hard rock. After gaining a music education, she relocated to the Twin Cities of Minneaplis and St. Paul.
Dubbed “Mighty Mouse” by the late great Captain Jack McDuff, Edie has utilized her powerful vocals all over the country including playing in the house bands at both Six Flaggs Over Atlanta and the Minnesota Music Cafe. Most recently Edie has appeared with groups around the Twin Cities such as Loose Change and Women Sing the Blues and produced and starred in a one-women cabaret in the MN Fringe Festival.
Lisa Briones, Singer/songwriter brings her warm, savant-garde sound to audiences willing to hear fresh, original music. She’s like a great cup of coffee in a foreign place so familiar and comfortable, yet tastes even better in a new and exotic setting. Lisa got her start writing and performing an original song for a middle school concert. Since then, she’s performed with many groups including: Spring Collection, Steel Shank and TV Chakra. Most recently, Lisa has been prolifically writing songs, attending songwriting workshops in Minneapolis and Nashville, recording her second CD at Silverant Studio.
Silla Mosely, Singer/performer. Silla hales from the great state of Iowa and has been singing since before she could walk. After a few stints singing in Iowa and NYC, Silla landed squarely back in the Midwest and currently makes her home in Minneapolis. Silla’s black velvet voice has performed in many groups including opening for Roots in a mind blowing set as CBGB’s in NYC and playing in the house band Vanguard at Prince’s Glam Slam nightclub. She’s shared the stage with the likes of the P-Funk Allstars, Rick James and the Gap Band. Her most recent projects include working on an R&B band project and singing with The Sireens.
