Album Notes

My roots are in a musical family. I grew up singing in a church choir and listening to jazz, R@B and soul. Later I sang in traditional college and Gospel choirs.
After rediscovering my spirituality through the practice of kundalini yoga and meditation, I found my way back to music. The musical styles in this CD are drawn from my eclectic life experiences.
I feel deep respect for all spiritual and religious paths, and my music honors them all. This CD is inspired by the teaching of Yogi Bhajan on the relations among all people, seeing oneself in the other person and knowing that the other person is you. From Sikh and Buddhist mantras to church hymns and spirituals, the lyrics in this CD come from many spiritual traditions and are different paths to celebrate the human spirit and the glory of God.
My spiritual path defines my commitment to peace and healing of the suffering and sadness that many people experience daily. Happiness is the birthright of all who inhabit the earth. It is my wish that everyone experiences it when listening to this music.
