(stop the) SUICIDE BOMBERS.

The track was originally written about the situation in Israel, when suicide bombers attacked primarily on the buses here. Now it has become a world- wide phenomenon affecting the lives of everyone.


Musically, the track's upbeat - reggae dance style contrasts starkly with the 'in your face' lyrics protesting against the futility of mass murder.


THE SEVEN LAWS OF NOAH.

This one's called THE SEVEN LAWS OF NOAH. These 7 laws are also known as the Noahide Code. They predate the giving of the 10 Commandments by 15 biblical generations.. These are the laws for all the Nations...as a foundation on which to build any civilised society.

SISTA WARRIOR has attended studio sound engineering and voice production and performance classes at: The Brent Black Music Co-op; The Portobello Project Band Workshops and Ovatones. More recently, she has studied with The Estate of the Arts and at the College of North East London.


After securing the Jewish Music Institute's Millennium Award in 2002 Sista Warrior went on to write and produce in conjunction with Vocal Connexion, London, a dub album, which was to serve as the backing track to her one woman show, 'A CONCERT FOR WOMEN', held in London, in 2003. Which she directed.


Sista Warrior was invited to present a series of talks on her award winning project entitled

"FROM ASHES TOWARDS TESHUVA (Spiritual Return)"

at the Limmud Conference at Nottingham University, in December 2004. She performed the first 'women's only' concert in the 25 year history of Limmud.


After hearing the live recording of the concert, it was suggested that a collaboration with veteran Jamaican reggae producer, SHAKESPEAR, could result in an productive musical partnership. Sista Warrior wanted to capture the sound style of "mid to late eighties-reggae", on this one and so the Album VALIANT WOMAN, took shape and was completed by the summer.
