In a time when the only bands to write songs about sex are mook-rock mongolids like Limp Bizkit or Monster Magnet, it's refreshing to hear an album like this. An honest look at awkward hook-ups, and regretful stains, this is the kind of record the not only is great, but inspiring. Also, dude's got a great voice.

a breath of fresh air for this genre

This EP may have single-handedly restored my faith in the sometimes lackluster one-man-with-an-acoustic-guitar genre. Comparisons to Dashboard Confessional or Bright Eyes wouldn't be even halfway accurate in describing this heartfelt, poignant masterpiece, because it really doesn't sound quite like anything else out there. And Gerke's voice is more than perfect, perhaps one of the best singing voices I've heard...pleasantly understated, but full of honest emotion. Buy it. Now. It's worth twice what it costs.
