Stop Is The New Go started in November of 2006 as an acoustic project between Singer Shawn Lemont and Guitarist Steve Knox. About 4 months later, the two decided to plug it in, adding a drummer and another guitarist. With the departure of both drummer and the other guitarist only 2 months later, Shawn and Steve hooked up with Dan Courcy (bass) and Joe Roy (drums). It was over a year before the line-up ever played their first show together. Ever since that day, they’ve been drawing more and more kids to every show. Opening for such acts as; Bayside (Victory Records), Valencia (Columbia Records), The Scenic (Victory Records), And Sparks The Rescue (Fearless Records).
