Album Notes

Speeding in the Rain has found their niche as a six-piece band. With many different styles of music as influences, they have acquired a sound that is describable by few, but enjoyed by many. Speeding in the Rain as a whole, has decided that a future in making music is everyone’s main goal in life.
In the earliest days of Speeding in the Rain, being in a band was thought of nothing more than just something to do to pass the time after the long, boring days of High School. Throughout the years, the lineup and style of the music had changed greatly, due to the fact that the members weren’t very familiar with how to utilize their instruments to create the fullest sound possible. It was more of just how fast and goofy it could be. As the band found themselves freshly out of school, they realized that their music had characterized the way they thought and reflected their attitudes. They had grown to respect many different styles of music and had intervened them into the style that they had already played. It had evolved into a symbol of true self-expression through instrument and creativity. They knew it was time to go out into the world and let people hear what they had produced throughout the many years of musical experimentation.
Experience on the road, for many bands, is something that counts in the long run. Speeding in the Rain has had its share of road experience, good and bad. They have played in many different cities up and down California and even made a trip out of state to spread the word. No matter where they have been spotted, on the side of the road, or onstage, they have a “never die” attitude and perseverance that ensures they will be on their way out, once again, and willingly at that. This coming year, they have a California tour booked and ready to go.
So with their local notoriety and fan base, ranging from the usual high school misfit, to fellow Sacramento bands such as Luckie Strike, the Secretions, and Red Top Road, Speeding in the Rain has a taste of their future. These six friends have made music together, and plan on doing so for years and years to come.
