Album Notes

Joshua Sitron has written music for Nickelodeon, Disney, and the Girl Scouts of America, including the hit TV show "Dora the Explorer". When not writing music for children, he is acting like a child, on stage, with various improv comedy and theater groups around NYC. "FunkeyMonkeys!" is his first independent children's album. "After doing all of this children's TV work, I wanted to have some freedom from producers and executives, who are often motivated by corporate interests. "Dora" has made me some money, but "FunkeyMonkeys!" came from the heart, with the intention of spreading joy and fun. It seems that 2-year olds, and 55-year olds are equally delighted with the results" The reviews are in: "This has to be one of the best CDs for kids that I know of. i bought this cd as a gift for my 3-year-old niece. this cd is so beyond fun! i am 26-years-old and i love it. i love that my niece will be able to learn some of my childhood favorites but set to a funky groove. she will be dancing until there is no tomorrow...that is, if i can let go of it long enough to give it to her..
