Throughout North America, Sittin' Idol has become renowned for a stage show that is both powerful and energetic. Sittin' Idol combines aggressive hooks reminiscent of the early heavy metal movement with smooth modern rock melodies. Mixing unique and dynamic song structures, Sittin' Idol captivates any audience from start to finish. Tight rhythms, powerful vocals and three-dimensional songs are the hallmark of Sittin' Idol's style. Since Sittin' Idol's formation in 1997, they have seduced fans from all genres with their one-of-a-kind sound. In 2001, the band released their self-titled debut, which has garnered many rave reviews from music critics all over the world.
Throughout their existence, Sittin' Idol has had the opportunity to perform alongside other notable acts such as Saliva, Shinedown, The Headstones, Dry Kill Logic, and many others. In 2004, Sittin' Idol completed their first major American tour, along with the world-renowned DAMAGEPLAN (featuring Dimebag Darrell (RIP) and Vinnie Paul of Pantera,) and Drowning Pool. More recently, Sittin' Idol released their long-awaited second album, "Gallery" early in 2005. Whether seen in person or heard on record, Sittin' Idol provides an experience not soon forgotten!
Mark Fassina - Bass
Mark Fassina is the newest member to the Sittin' Idol family. He traded in his bass duties from Lost Dog to join the band towards the end of 2003. Mark's unique bass style has opened new doors and has helped the other members to take the second release "Gallery" in a brand new and exciting direction.
Rick Hatch - Guitar
Rick Hatch provides many of the searing leads and dynamic guitar sounds you hear from Sittin' Idol. Diverse influences and creative songwriting help to propel Sittin' Idol to instrumental greatness.
Scott Lennox- Vocals, Guitar
Scott Lennox provides the vocal power behind Sittin' Idol. As one half of the guitar team in the band, Scott's solid rhythm playing and inventive songwriting are essential. Scott's presence and energy on stage help to drive crowds to insanity.
Stu - Drums
Providing the rhythms for Sittin' Idol is an unearthly being known only as Stu. Stu contributes to the band his 15 years of experience, along with an education in music. The unorthodox beats and rock-solid tightness you hear in Sittin' Idol have become hallmarks of Stu's signature style.

I was thinking I was going to hear more of a harder feel but the CD is slow, the music is very good and all but I think these guys can kick some ass if they took things up a bit and played some heavy metal. I bought there two albums and I enjoy them and I can wait for a Third and hear some harder stuff. Stay Groovy and Rock On

9 out of 10! Best band out of Calgary!
author: Aaron Small
Opening with an instrumental track that takes a while to kick in and then ends before you want it to, Sittin' Idol grab your attention just like the scent of a fox captivates a bloodhound. First single, "Conformist Wine" combines Pantera with Blind-era COC. Great hooks, juicy riffs and just enough changes makes for an infectious tune from a tight-knit, obviously talented band. "Redline" gathers steam like a locomotive, starting out slowly, building, picking up speed, and then kicking it double time; a great piece of work. And there are five more songs to savour. Both Trouble and Alice in Chains appear to be influences, when added to the band's own aggressive attitude equals an original, impressive debut from a band to watch.

Definitely a great CD to add to any collection for only $10 directly from the ba

Where are these guys from? Was my first question when I started listening to their CD.Believe it or not, Calgary, Canada. Although they have their own music and musical style, you can definitely hear the Pantera influence in their music. Their eight-track debut CD is eight tracks of great metal. They slow things down a bit with Suncatcher but, it is a great song on its own. Superhost starts out slow and build steam as it progresses to its own conclusion. I believe my personal favorite song on the whole CD is Conformist Wine. It just starts hard and stays hard through out the whole song. Although, Mission is a great headphones song.
If I had to rate this CD I would give it 5 out of 5. Definitely a great CD to add to any collection for only $10 directly from the band.
