Excellent debut CD! Great lyrics, music and mixing.

This is Scott Sivakoff's debut CD, and I found it extremely enjoyable. I have listened to it several times over the few days since I received it, and already have some of the songs stuck in my head.
To comment on just a few of the tracks:
The title cut, Different Directions, has a great mix of words and music. Wrong Side of the Tracks has a very soulful and reflective sound. Silence has a Music of Its Own has a theme reminiscient of Jackson Browne's, Stay, and Harry Chapin's, You are the Only Song.
I Want It Back is a very lively song which has probably received the most repeat plays on my CD player. A very nice electric guitar solo and beat. Hey Girl and 1000 Miles Away round out my most enjoyed list, but I don't mean to take anything away from the other tracks. These were just my personal favorites.
While I am no technical sound expert, I thought the mixing was very professional, and was particularly impressed with this first CD from Scott. I highly recommend it to fans of Harry Chapin, Jack Johnson, Jim Croce, and other artists who combine thoughtful lyrical messages with memorable music.
