The Goal: Assertion in an unsure and ever-changing music world. While INTEGRITY is a word not applied to many within the music world, an exception does exist. THE SIXTH. Hailing from Southwest Texas/El Paso on the Mexican/American border as of the fall of 2005, music is no stranger in the least. Through years of endless touring of the worlds best music markets both abroad and stateside as members of the now defunct Pissing Razors(Modern Music Int.Europe,Asia/Noise USA) , Joe Rodriguez(voc), Mathew Lynch(guitar) and Cesar Soto(guitar) are continuing their distinguished brand of INTEGRITY along side Dan Contreras(drum) and Arturo Saldana(bass) as THE SIXTH. With four major release's to their credit as Pissing Razors including the self-titled 'Pissing Razors', 'Cast Down the Plague', 'Fields of Disbelief' and 'Where We Come From', along with various compilation and independent releases, the world of heavy music has in one way or another felt their influence.
'For Hate and Heritage', the debut release from 'THE SIXTH' on HeavenPoint Records(Independent), showcases 13 pummeling tracks of unrelenting groove to drive home their fury. And while 'THE SIXTH' as a name is a reference derived from mayan mythology of man's eventual self-demise, the bottom line in the message is clear: Self-Truth, Self-Worth and INTEGRITY.
