Album Notes

Bleuphoria is Skeye's very first full-length studio album. It was recorded at Skeye's studio, Green Room Studio, in New York City. The album showcases Skeye's signature natural approach to recording. In Bleuphoria, Skeye continues to explore their ongoing dialogue with classic recording principles by employing analog tape and a variety of vintage instruments and microphones.

The title "Bleuphoria" sets the stage for the concept album's theme of the emotional state of the paradoxical "jouissance." It explores internal conflict and striking emotional combinations, such as euphoric sadness and apathy. A dynamic and spacious concept album, Bleuphoria encompasses a variety of genres and converses with a variety of musical backgrounds and tastes. Skeye's sound has been described as soulful, psychedelic, experimental, triphop, and even jazz and folk. In Bleuphoria, Skeye has created a musical experience where each track stands apart from the next, yet the album flows seamlessly from beginning to end, and back again.
