Album Notes

From Boston to Dallas by way of Mobile. Having worked with a broad range of artists as a studio musician and on-stage guitarist and keyboardist has afforded Skip both invaluable experience and also a keen knowledge of playing styles. Early influences include Chet Atkins, Carlos Santana, Eric Clapton and Howard Roberts. His style is a smooth blend of country, blues, rock and jazz all coming together into a cohesive and enjoyable mix. Promised Land is the culmination of many months of planning and recording. Some sessions running into the early morning hours. Brian Whittington, the vocalist and co-writer of "Just A Twostep Away" adds a bluesy touch reminiscent of Marty Robbins and Ronnie Milsap.

Enjoy!
