This is jazz with a heavy blues influence, blended in such a way that each is heard but not overshadowed.
With a handful of classics, and a cache of Roberts originals that could be classics,"Hello There" is a hazy, late-night soundtrack to an after-hours dream.
Roberts sings the blues and sprinkles the performance with jazz ballads as well.
There is something special going on here.
