Album Notes

For some, change comes like a kiss from a hammer to the side of the skull. While the more “well-adjusted” among us may breeze through life on a lollipop gondola, the newest release from Skittish is for those who have found themselves in bad situations, and had the courage to change.
Tragedy of the Commons is a semi-autobiographical collage of the different people the main character meets on a journey across modern-day America.
Written and Recorded by Jeff Noller, the only constant member of Skittish, Tragedy of the Commons mixes the song-smithing of Bright Eyes with the blatant catchiness of Weezer.
Each song has elements of oldies nostalgia, but Noller’s lush instrumentation and confessional lyrics cut these gems into true post-modern folk-rock mutants. With the singles Million Gray, Ugly on the Inside, and The Phantom’s Toast going to college radio, and Noller gathering up his merry band of players for another USA tour, Skittish will soon be coming to a town near you. Enjoy.

I got a demo copy of this CD at a coffee shop and fell in love with one of the songs. I bought the CD and it has been in my car for 2 months straight. I think that is some kind of a record.
