Album Notes

After getting an honorable discharge from the United States Air Force in 1983, Skooter started playing in a band in Austin Texas. His music is definitely infuenced by Willie and Waylon and the other Lonestar recording artists and Stevey Ray Vaugn. He now has twenty years of stage and life experiences as a musician to write about. He writes and arranges his own music. He has a music education degree and plays a one man band show at The Texas club Steak house,in Ruidoso New Mexico. They recorded his album at Studio 23 in Nashville, Tennessee. He was fortunate enough to find a very good producer in Mark Dreyer. Mark brought some of Nashvilles finest and most notable musicians in on the project. Willie Nelson's harmonica player, Mickey Raphael does a killer job, even plays a new harmonica that he built himself. Roy Orbisons keyboard/piano player, Jim (Turbo) Kirby plays, as does Jessica Andrews' bass player, Dal Thomlin. We were fortunate to get Wayne Killius on drums. He was only in town for a couple of weeks on a short break from touring with David Ball (Private Andrew Malone). This is a unique original album with many catchy songs. We hope you like it. Thank you.

This is a great album, with some great songs in a great country and western tradition..there are some real rockin songs, and I think " She's My Baby, I'm in Love " is the comeback song for Gary Puckett or some other 60's artist trying for a comeback. I appreciate Scooter giving me the chords for SHe's My Baby and I gotta tell you, I have performed it a few times and the audience really digs it. Best to Scooter and if you are looking for some great songs to boogie to- this one is for you !

Great album by a great artist. Skooter was nice enough to share the chords to " She's My Baby- I'm in Love" and I have performed it a few times in public and the audience loved it. There are a lot of real good songs and I think there are a few that could be some " comeback " songs for some older artists. Real good stuff from a real good artist and person !

Proud as punch

As this artist mother I have to say he has worked hard all of his life and is very talented. He has played music since he was old enough to hold an instrument and he can play just about anything. I am very proud of the work that he has put into this album. Great dance music.
