Album Notes

Following their first two albums "Log_In" and "Access All Areas", Skorbut now present their third album "Firewall" (april 2007).

"Firewall" by far is the most sophisticated and dance-able Skorbut release to date. The duo, consisting of Daniel Galda (vocals & lyrics) and Jörg Hüttner (music & programming), have rapidly become an institution in "Made in Germany" electronic music.

"Firewall" offers 12 powerful electro-songs with industrial influences, which perfect and build upon Skorbut‘s own unique sound established with the first two releases.

Additionally, the "9 Lives Later" video and several pictures are on the CD as a data track.

Jörg Hüttner‘s capabilities in synth programming are often used by synthesizer manufacturers, music software companies and renowned Hollywood film composers. His knowledge increases the pulse in movies like "Catwoman", "The Ring 2" and "Batman Begins".

His experiences gathered in the film industry can especially be heard in songs like "De(ad)cibel" or "Valium 2". Tracks like "Antikörper" or "9 Lives Later" are club hits mixed with Endzeit-Electro-Songs aka "getting colder" or electronic gems like "a second of perfection".

The 4-track EP "9 Lives Later," together with the video clip shot for the title song, were made available for free download on the Skorbut and Sonic-X web sites in February 2007.

Worth mentioning is also the collaboration of Skorbut and art photographer Ansgar Noeth and makeup-artist Andrea Dorn for their photo shoots. Ansgar Noeth currently is causing quite a sensation with his photo exhibition in Berlin and New York. Boris Black, long-time friend of Skorbut, added a song and a remix to the album "firewall".

Thus, an artistically high-quality and aesthetic CD was created both in terms of sound design and it‘s visual appearance and design. The CD should be labeled "Caution: Hot" according to the title of the album.
