Lynda Timmons Elvington is a native Texan, and very proud of it. She was born in Fort Worth and raised in the small town of Crowley, just south of Cowtown.

She comes from a “musical” family, so her passion for songwriting comes naturally. It’s Lynda’s opinion that a song should “move” you. If a song causes you to call that special someone you care about or if it makes you want to “move your feet”, then it’s done its job!

“I’ve had people ask me who my influences are, but I don’t try to fashion my songs after anyone else’s style,” says Lynda. “I believe a writer should be original. I can’t see taking pride in being a copycat. I've heard my work described as “Country music with a New York flare”.
