Skudd.
-Is driving beats, coming from hardcore metal - deep, dirty rock and roll. Some tracks are locked into a groove, only to explode into the raw. Others are hardcore all the way, and then, the 'soft touch' shows now and again.
Vocal exchanges shape the story, grunge and punk scream and chant, and the beat goes on. The occassional narration only adds to the angst, street truths contradicting the comfortable social view.
Skudd.
-Is personal songs, speaking from the sensibilities of the band that created the music, for each of these songs is credited only to Skudd, a testiment to the unity at the core of this band's soul. Even the instrument credits are missing from the album. Band members give thanks to family, friends, and fellow musician band members, and to those who have helped create the music through hard work and hours.
From studying the cover and CD, listening to the music, hearing the band, you can tell they are connected, of one mind in their music. It is music that is put together meticulously, yet played with an almost "f**k it" attitude. Each member speaks their own inner voice, yet every part is interlaced, bringing focus to the raw energy.
Skudd.
-Is an attitude, a way of life, a style of music.
-Is rock and roll, heavy metal, hard core music.
-Is kicking drums, low-end bass, hard rock guitars, classic metal, punk and rock vocals.
Skudd
-Rocks.
Seven tracks of music.

On this album Skudd provide a lesson to bands that are trying to do growly, scary rock music. This is the real deal. ||||
There are Metallica size riffs, hints of Marilyn Manson, grunted yet understandable vocals and weird chanting and that's all within the space of the first song, 'Weak Link'. 'Reach' is not so intense and slightly more melodic and because of this not as good as the opener. 'Ignorant' is nu-metal kicked off by riffs that sound like motorbikes revving up, 'Blue' is a bit too whiny to make much impact and 'First Impression' is another slice of nu-metal. 'Piercing' picks things up again; it's a big hulking monster of a rocker, the singer and grunter riffing off each other's vocals. The album ends a bit lamely with the cast off 'Unrelated, Off Crowd (Spaced)'. ||||
Despite the downbeat ending there's some good moments here for fans of heavier music. ||||
