The album starts with an epic lysergic jam followed by some improvised story telling and bluesy pop songs. In the middle of all this is a cover of "White Light/White Heat", inspired by a 1968 bootleg recording of the Velvet Underground performing at the Boston Tea Party club.

Spectacularly well-done CD for what started out as a lark. Sounds like a tape from a secret session of Jim Morrison singing for Velvet Underground with drop-by by The Band. Heh. I love the prominant bass, too, and the very clever lyrics. Just a fascinating CD from beginning to end. Read more...
