Album Notes
Hailing from the deserts of Tempe, AZ, the five-piece Indie/Pop group known as Skybox has managed to attract a lot of attention for themselves.

Having released their debut LP Arco Iris, recorded by Jamie Woolford of The Stereo and mastered by Jason Livermore (Rise Against, The Ataris, MxPx), Skybox’s music managed to catch the attention of Jesse Ledoux (ex. assistant art director at Sub Pop Records), who after hearing just one song offered to design their CD packaging.

Having already shared the stage with The Honorary Title, Jack's Mannequin, The Format, Waking Ashland, Steel Train, Reubens Accomplice and many others, Skybox is scheduled to complete a nationwide tour in support for their upcoming album. Perhaps it is because of their utterly unique and catchy sound, their entertaining live shows, or their down-to-earth demeanor, but whatever the case may be, people everywhere are falling in love with Skybox.

Arco Iris is pure fun with old school disco beats mixed into the batch.

I got the cd at the demo at the minus the bear concert, and i put it in when i got home and now i cant stop listening, its fucking awesome....FO REAL.

Love It
Smart, refreshing, fun music. Great blend of styles, not just song-to-song, but within each song. The unbelievably catchy line "They're gonna love my babies tonight" has been in my head for about a week.

Peter Grosz

a bundle of talent and fun!
You'll love Skybox! They are simply five talented young musicians who make the airwaves crackle with originality.

Arco Iris by Skybox is great!
I recently purchased a copy of Arco Iris by Skybox and I must say this album is great! It is a mixture of ragtime piano filtered through brit pop, psychedelic, experimental goodness...I recommend this record to anyone who likes to venture into the bizarre! The lyrics are whitty and the melodies are very captivating. Better yet than their album is their live show. I saw these guys perform at the midwest music summit this past summer and they are great performers as well. My only question is WHY HASN'T ANYONE SIGNED SKYBOX!!!

Haskell Ledbetter

Been passing this around because there isn't anything similar that I have heard. I smell success!

makes a bitch bounce
This compact disc is really great it reminds me of being in a playpen as a kid. All the shiny objects to pull on that make those crazy noises: squeak, goosh, wheez, cracka la. Thats what skybox is like, a playpen.
