Since its early beginnings in 2003, Skybucket has been on a mission to write and perform music that is at the same time dissident and melodic, with introspective but appealing songwriting. A group of four musicians experienced in performing clubs throughout the southeast, Skybucket came together with ambitious goals, plenty of talent, and no day jobs which has proven to be the magic combination needed to assemble a collection of songs for the stage or the cd player.

Fading In and Out, the title of Skybucket's debut release, also describes what producers, soundmen, and fans watching the shows have been experiencing as the music glides from softer melodies to driving choruses that demand attention. The music is undeniably rock, but lying somewhere between alternative and experimental genres, peaking the interests of casual and critical music fans alike. If you listen hard, you'll find traces of Hum or Sparta in the drum beats and guitar solos, or maybe a chord progression from the Pixies or synchopated riffs from Trail of Dead.

The most popular tracks amongst early listeners have been track 1, Edification, track 2, Song Upon A Station, and track 4, Claudia.

The members of Skybucket were fans of great rock music long before they were a band, and their songwriting builds on the foundations of their idols and peers to develop a sound that is distictly theirs and it is well showcased throughout Fading In and Out. You could keep reading about it, but the whole reason Skybucket spent the last year and a half making an album is for music fans to enjoy the songs and decide for themselves.
