Sky makes music I like to hear.
author: Peter Miller
I was told about this music by a friend of mine whose opinion regarding music I take most seriously. I find a gentle aggression in the songs on this recording, soft-hard, like "piano-forte". The music is arrived at, not contrived, as though the musicians are tickling their instruments or coercing them into telling their truth. It would be hard to forget that this music is being "played", but it's also impossible to ignore the metaphysical musings that the philisophical lyrics offer as a serious counterpoint. "Wednesday" is great anyday.
author: Sam Morris
Sky Cooper is part of a rare breed of singer/songwriters - those who are continuing to expand out into new directions. Leaving the musical confines of distinct genres in the dust, he speeds down the roads of folk, funk and jazz with an impressive display of guitar and songwriting skills which have obviously been years in the making. Sky's lyrics and style speak of who he is, rather than who he thinks he needs to be in order to "make it" in the music business. He'd rather keep it real and have a mop in his hand during the day. Having the pleasure of performing with Sky in the past gives me an even deeper appreciation of his work and his passion for music.

Sky serves up tasteful original rock and roll like nothing else out there
author: Cas Lucas
Songs like Vision, Better Days, and Humming in Greys are truly original compositions. Sky picks up where guys like Dave Matthews and John Mayer leave off and takes it in a new, rich, jazzy, funky, soulful, carefully-crafted direction.
I'm telling all my buddies to check his stuff out. You should too. Music to dance to, work to, chill out to, tap your foot to, and learn something from.
