As you listen to The Slide Factor album “Keeping the Spirit Alive” we hope that you will have a sliderific good time while maybe doing some toe-tapping, dancing the country two-step with your friend or partner or even joining in on a sing-a-long.
Dobro Master and composer Marty Lepore, aka Dr. Slide, is the main instrumentalist showcasing his superior picking chops and creative interpretations of just about any musical style. He has been performing in bands around the Pacific Northwest for over 30 years and recently teamed up with singer/songwriter Phyllis Ann Lee for a duo presentation ala modern version of Les Paul and Mary Ford.
Songwriter Phyllis Ann Lee sees a story in everyday life adventures whether the setting in Hawaii or at a bluegrass festival and its need to come to life as a song. With Dr. Slide adding his song arranging talent, they have many stand-out songs that are becoming bluegrass camp jam staples.
The Blue Subaru song for instance has tales that many people can relate to with their own cars and the instrumental Cheyenne Special gives the pickers a chance to really flex their fingers.
The variety of musical sounds and stories from Hawaii to Country Western and American Bluegrass give the listener a chance to travel with The Slide Factor as they take you with them on their experiences so far.
“Keeping the Spirit Alive” is sent out to all of you who have that inner child spirit still alive and well in your life and that you are smiling as much as we are.
