Album Notes

SlipJig's music comes from the traditions of Ireland, Scotland, and other Celtic lands. It spans a range of styles from high-energy jigs and reels to ancient airs and ballads to raucous pub songs. The wide range of traditional instruments - including fiddles, whistles, guitar, pipes, mandolin, banjo, bodhran and others - combine in a variety of ways for a unique traditional celtic sound.

SlipJig released their first CD, entitled “So Far …” in March, 2007. This CD features the full range of moods and sounds that SlipJig is becoming known for. From hard-driving jigs and reels, to slow soulful airs, SlipJig delivers a unique sound in “So Far…”.

SlipJig is based in Huntsville, Alabama and has been treating audiences around the Southeastern US to their own blend of traditional Celtic music since 2004.
