Album Notes

Recorded live in the studio (my girlfriend’s apartment)….what I mean by recorded live is that there are no overdubs. Every plinkety plink of the guitar, every thumpety thump of the bass, every wee haw of the harmonica, every bang boom bam of the drums and every yodalady croakety croak of the vocals were recorded at the same moment in time. We didn’t go back and add extra instrumental or vocal tracks. For instance on each of these tracks 3, 8, 11 &13, I play the upright bass, harmonica, and sing. We didn’t go back and add the harmonica or the vocals at a later time.

Now I'm not the only one multitasking. Mike is both playing guitar and engineering. Added to that, on Don’t Run Away he sings lead vocals and on Bad Bad Boy he sings backing vocals.

Splitting most of the drumming duties are our regular drummers Garry Schwartz the Mad Monk of Putnam Valley and Richie Noorigian. In the real world Richie is some kind of big shot where he bosses people around all day, but when he plays with The Slippery Chickens he has to take orders from a dirt bag like me. Ha!

I Thank You,
Jerry Scaringe
