Album Notes

The call to arms for southern Virginia's SLOBURN is "Redneck Metal," a newly dubbed genre that haphazardly fuses Eighties-metal bombast with 70’s southern rock/metal breakdowns and nu-metals alternating scream-sing vocals.

Recently signing with Virginia based record label Dark Harvest Records, the band is set to make their mark on the metal world. Sloburn are currently bringing out the beer drinkers in southern, Va and northern, Nc performing in such places as Richmond, Va, colonial heights, Va, Danville, Va, Greensboro, Nc, Raleigh, Nc, etc.

Sloburn are a straight-up American metal band in the tradition of Pantera, Drykill logic, and Rob Zombie!

The Virginia five-piece consists of duet singers, Shane Milam with his hoarsely bellows and different vocal range along side Sly who gives them an edge with her female vocals and intense deep growls. With pounding end of the world bassist Creepy, and guitarist Sammy, riffing out 80's southern vibes they team up along side drummer Brandon King, whose drum work is reminiscent of more aggressive metal bands such as slipknot, and pantera.

The vocals and drums are more here in the now combined with 80's bass and guitar makes for a southern metal chill. A sound unlike any other band out today!
