notes
Sloe Ember creates an artistic view of a post apocalyptic defensive stance on self-preservation and integrity. Like timeless prophets who speak of things to come, the passion in their voice is fierce and without mercy, casting shadow and doubt on opposition. It searches for truth, clarity, and greater self-conscientiousness through a higher power, intoxicating ailments, or whatever may see it through. Their talent and individuality keeps them aside from all that may be labeled or indexed and nurtures the idea that one band may create a genre of its own.
Thunderous rhythms and unsuspecting melodies emerge from places that few seek out and that many lock up and hide away. Haunting lyrics and a hair-raising outlook on life and on living keep listeners ears outstretched and their darkest sides illuminated.
But that's just one side of the band!
Yes, my friend, that is just one phase of Sloe Embers many that keep them elusive from critics who only seem to pin down one aspect of an artist's broad talent. With the ability to fit into any niche on the Rock 'n' Roll spectrum, the end is never in sight for Sloe Ember and a reinvention with a new face is always around the corner. For those whose love for the new and exciting is persistent and tireless, this is one band whose strides in personal growth will not let you down.
Sloe Ember was formed in Waco Texas and include:
John Maxwell- vocals
Jody Harland- guitar, vocals
Darrell Ray- guitar, vocals
Jimmy K- bass
Gary Summers- drums
