Mark Sloniker and Colleen Crosson have been performing together for 22 years. Both have thrived as solo artists and have numerous album credits to their names. This is their first official release together, a collection of 12 original songs (with words) that tell stories. These stories range from comical - “Cell Phone Blues”, to quizzical - “Twenty Questions”, to heart centered - “Love is a Work of Art”. Sufi poet Rumi says that we need stories more than we need bread. Each of these songs is a slice of life that is food for thought and food for the soul - all in all, a true work of heart!
1.Twenty Questions - The answers are in the questions...
2. Miracles - Lessons from kids...an upbeat tearjerker
3. Almost Home - Insightful sea song reveals meaning of life...and death...and home
4. Forgiveness - Write a rock ballad using 4 chords and humility (my personal daily anthem)
5. I Choose Love -Personal growth meets love or fear. You choose.
6. Om Namah Shivaya - Bowing to the divine in each of us, set to a jaunty boogaloo!
7. Oil Can -Tin Man meets Boo Radley—they go for coffee and WD40
8. Love is a Work of Art - Upbeat, quizzical ditty where work is play and heartfulness becomes artfulness
9. Cell Phone Blues -Googling for God...humorously compelling
10. Here We Are -Shakespeare meets Horton Hears a Who...2B or not 2C?
11. Namaste - a word, a bow, a song...universal oneness
12. A Life in the Day - The Beatles already had “A Day in the Life”, and I’m dyslexic...a quiet song of surrendering (victoriously)

i would give this a 7 star rating, it is so beautiful. The music is joyful, the voices sublime, and the words take you to where you want to be. My favorite song tends to be whichever one is playing at the moment. It is my daily habit.
