Surrealistic rock 'n' roll.

notes

Andrew Poisoner bills himself as "the one man surrealistic rock and roll band." With a foot pounding on the bass drum and his fingers plucking a home- made guitar, he sings unique songs of weird America. Critics have likened his sound to an unholy marriage of David Bowie and Johnny Cash.

Other influences include Roy Orbison, The Cramps, Hasil Adkins, Marc Bolan, Screamin' Jay Hawkins, Syd Barrett, Wall of Voodoo, Bob Dylan circa '66 and Jimmie Rodgers (The Singing Brakeman).

Andrew once led a band called The Slow Poisoners, who released three albums over ten years' time. Although originally a quintet, the other musicians gradually disappeared under sometimes mysterious circumstances. As the last man standing, The Slow Poisoner grew an additional limb and now provides a full plate of entertainment by his lonesome...

Andrew is also the author of the long-running underground comic strip "Ogner Stump's One Thousand Sorrows."
