Stephanie Marshall is listening to the voices in her heart these days. The ones that have always said, "Believe in your dreams, wrap your arms around your faith."

Growing up in Central New Jersey, Stephanie started singing at the age of 5. Her first taste of the spotlight was all it took to keep her performing. With the help of a Neil Young songbook and her brother's guitar, she taught herself to play in her early teens. By the time she was 15, she was playing at open mikes and writing her own songs. After college, however, she found herself in the rigid life of the corporate world. Although successful, she always knew that something was missing as she drifted further from her music. Then the untimely death of a close friend made her realize how fragile and unpredictable life really is. She picked up her guitar and started writing again letting her heart lead her back to her musical journey. Currently settled in Western Massachusetts with her husband, Stephanie has launched her first CD and is supporting it through live performances. She now knows where she is headed and where she wants to be.

Aptly titled, "Reality", her new CD features 10 original compositions (some co-written), of her own blend of Folk, Country, Rock and Americana. The rootsy, organic sounding album was recorded in Nashville, engineered and produced by George Clinton at Bayou Recording. Accompanied by guitarist Dino Zimmerman, each track has its own magic. The raw acoustics bring out Stephanie's lyrics to tell her stories in song. Stephanie concedes, "I love what I do and I couldn't imagine ever straying from it again".
