"...exciting and well-conceived.....the charts are both respectful to tradition, while breaking the rules and presenting a new positive and forward-thinking direction that is "original" in its approach."

"...indicative of a seasoned journeyman jazz artist."

"...edgy, high-energy, unique approach to jazz—not quite mainstream, not quite free, not quite like anyone else I hear out there these days."

Great writing of many different styles.
Shawn has, on this cd, impressive writing skills along with an obvious command of the various instruments he plays. This is a very enjoyable cd.

I really liked listening to the cd.
Shawn has a lot of variety in his music which made the cd fun and interesting. Even though all the songs are good, No One Bossa stands out as my favorite.

heeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!! There it is!!!!
many fine tracks are abound on this cd, with my personal favorites being 'dangerous curve', 'the sixth', 'lunch-box', 'sister red', and 'no one bossa'. big ups to mr. maxwell on a superfly debut and many more releases down the road.
