Album Notes

Smith and Harley - Wisconsin's favorite Country/southern Rock Band!

Ron Smith grew up in Oklahoma listening to his dad perform on the radio and building motorcycles in is dad’s shop. By the age of 9, he was hooked on racing bikes. At 15, he joined the U. S. Air Force, and spent time in Vietnam. After his time in the service, he continued his motorcycle racing, picking up several sponsors. It wasn’t long after that, that the acting bug bit him and he headed for Hollywood. He began a long career as a successful stuntman, doubling for Charles Bronson, and appearing in several major Hollywood movies. Ron has over 140 TV commercials and print ads to his credit. He has also been a male model for many years. Through all this time, Ron continued to sing in churches and clubs. He won the Atlanta Star Mania contest, and was asked to lead out the competition in several other states. In 1995, Ron fronted a duo called Smith and Wesson, and had 2 top 5 songs. In 2005, Ron met Jim Harley and reformed the group to be Smith and Harley.

James Harley’s background in music began when he was a young boy. He was well studied in several instruments, and conducting. He began playing lead guitar in two regionally known rock bands, and also played bass and drums in a university jazz group. James won the Marlboro Country Music contest, gaining cash and national recognition. He went on to win the Wrangler Country Showdown and the TrueValue GMC Truck Country Music contest. He recorded two albums in Nashville, one with Grammy Award winning producer, Jim Cotton and one with Clyde Brooks, a top tier Nashville producer. James is also producing his own solo project, and is also working as producer on a number of custom cd projects. With Ron Smith, he forms the duo, Smith and Harley.

Red moon is by far one of the best songs on this album. I have the CD, but I would love to hear this on the radio. It'll be a hit!

This Album is great. It's been a long time since I've heard a duel sound so good together. Is any of you music on the Radio or are you touring anywhere?
