Steve Smith is an LA based singer/songwriter. Steve grew up in Iowa where he was influenced by the likes of The Beatles, Fleetwood Mac, Tom Petty and the legendary Judy Garland. In 1991, Steve moved to Los Angeles where he worked in cover bands. At one point, Steve was a sightseeing counselor for the now defunct, Grave Line Tours, which would spirit tourists to the locations of Hollywood's famous scandals and death sights of the rich and famous.
In 1995, Steve met and began working with Grammy nominated musician, Larry Treadwell. Having a backlog of material to record, the two began working together towards getting those songs out. Steve released his first CD, the self-titled Steve Smith in 2001, which was produced by Larry Treadwell and Jahlem. In 2003, Steve released his second CD, 10050, produced by Larry Treadwell. Immediately following the release of his CDs, Steve and his band began performing his original material in and around the L.A. club circuit.
In 2005, Steve is set to release his third CD of original material. Look for it in the fall of 2005. Steve is an active member of ASCAP. You can contact Steve at SteveSmithMusic.net
