ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
What can you say about the Smoked Out Society? They were an organization that was started to support a movement that never began.

They believed the system was against their right to freedom of expression.

"Dr. Dre said it best "express yourself". They did and they do.

Music is created to soothe the savaged soul or engage the quiet heart.

SOS just wants you to feel them, simple.

Many people believe the smoked out title represents the hazy state of mind they are usually in but it's more than that; it's a mind state created from the hectic trails of life brought on from the many tragedies though the course of their life.

Really?

It's the smoked out state from smoking too much weed, period.

Ey Phlo, Sage and Dutch smoke and then blaze a verse in the lab constantly.

This music is stress related and they try to forget their life when they rhyme.

Check them out in a performance and revel in the happy-go-lucky attitude of the "Maestro's Melody" or feel the pain of the "Day After" and understand that these cats can change emotions faster than paint drying.

From the Bronx to the busy streets of Manhattan in the NYC, SOS has and will continue to do it up all world style.

Dutch knows the most hell as they worked on the album.

He recently got bagged on a charge of too much w**d and may not be around for the tours.

Sage rocks rhyme, Phlo can do it too.

They got skills for that ass and believe me they show off for days.

Dutch smoked on the way to the station and just doesn't care but isn't that Hip-Hop? Being responsible enough to know how to buck the system and still keep what's true to you in tact.

We love you Dutch and hope Johnnie Cochran isn't too busy.

Check out the album.
