Welcome to Smokey Pete's Café. A collaboration between singer-songwriter Russ Peterson, lyricist Allycen Quan, and producer Doug McKeehan, Smokey Pete's is a place where the mind goes to unwind, exploring the dark dynamic of relationship in transition. Frustration and anger are exposed and exorcised here in a musical journey that explores the landscape of the mind through the vehicle of intense, passionate rock. That Smokey, a professional fire fighter living in the foothills of the Sierra, could come together with Allycen, a student of physics and theology living in Denver, and Doug, a producer with roots in world music, is a story unto itself. The fruits of this collaboration are evidenced here in this CD. Smokey Pete's Café, a place that's sometimes dark, sometimes angry, always passionate.
