Album Notes

Inspired by the 300th birthday of John Wesley, founder of Methodism, Suzannah borrowed her father's 1905 Methodist Hymnal and began searching for hymns to pay tribute to John and his brother, hymn-writer Charles Wesley.

Her focus on sharing the Gospel through music has solidified Suzannah's calling to serve Christ. Her earliest musical training came through the church; in particular it's hymns.

A seasoned performer, she has presented recitals in churches since 1983, sharing her gifts throughout Texas, the Midwest and the South.

"She has the most beautiful, most 'refreshing' voice we have ever heard. What a joy to hear her sing...perhaps what she really had in mind from the beginning is the comfort and joy and peace that one feels when listening to her," Celia Mills, Mississippi.

"I felt like I had spent an hour in heaven," an audience member from Texas shared.

In 2003 Suzannah released 2 CDs: Great Wesley Hymns, and Words of Life, an album of favorite, traditional hymns.

She has appeared on "Time that Makes the Difference" a televised production of The United Methodist Hour and for the Mississippi United Methodist Annual Conference.

She was the first to receive a BA in Church Music from Millsaps College. After which, Suzannah entered graduate school at Southern Methodist University, earning Master of Music and Master of Sacred Music degrees. She has studied voice with opera teacher Lois Alba since 1989.
