Album Notes

Smooth Kentucky got their start as a bluegrass group, but that is far from defining who they are. There is a definite bluegrass soul to what they do, but their music is influenced by something other than just old-time mountain music. While you are likely to catch a Bill Monroe tune in their live set, you are also just as likely to hear a Grateful Dead, or Bob Dylan, or Gordon Lightfoot song pop up. It is this converging of worlds that defines who Smooth Kentucky is and provides the shape for their new album.
