Biography
C-Smoove a former {Wide-Awake Wilson} native... (aka) Charles, grew up a baptist singing in the church choir at a very young age. By the age of 12 his father influenced him to play drums with his Gospel Quintet group The Thunderbirds. Impressed by Charles performance and stage presence, his brother then included him to sing in his group the Nasty Boyz, Charles continue to entertain audiences who enjoyed his singing and free-style dancing. By now Charles was now addited to entertaining, and from there, C-Smoove birthed. After performing with his brother C-Smoove went to perform with high profile groups. Includes The Majestics, Midnight Love, and Word, who was honored to open for phenomenal rap artist Chubb Rock. Later became the Nasty Boyz Trio and were opened for major groups such as R-Kelly featuring Public Announcement, Tag Team, Glenn Jones, Miles Jay, The Manhattans, Harold Melvin & The Bluenotes, William Bell, Roy C, Marvin Sease, Cee-Cee Peniston, Marcia Griffiths,Chuck Brown. The exposure landed the Nasty Boyz a spot doing back up for artist Lee Fields. The gigs with Lee Fields were most enjoyable and lead to a yearlong road engagement. As a solo artist who continue to soar, C-Smoove has open for Glenn Jones, Miles Jay, Roy C, Latimore, and Lee Fields, and performed live at 2005 Comedy Kick Off with 3 BET Comedians, Reggie Bryd, Miss Bee, and homeboy Poochie with the Nasty Boyz. C-Smoove had the pleasure of meeting comedian Chris Thomas at a 2006 show event-they entertain! C-Smoove write, produce and record for Smoove Records is now recording five new singles and on four albums.
