Album Notes

This album is much more sparsely produced than its predecessor, Better Days. On this batch of songs, Shawn experimented with open tunings (especially open D) and took an even more mellow approach to the presentation of the songs.

Co-produced with Don McCollister, Big Blue Sky attracted even more radio attention, and won fans in the Indigo Girls, who invited Shawn on the road for a short stint in the midwest.

Lately was the single that made its way on to the radio. Steve Craig of 99X in Atlanta (the same station who first played Lullaby) became a huge fan during this time and helped us immeasurably.

Another highlight off the album is a wonderful cover of a Matthew Kahler song entitled The Sky's the Limit.

On the road to perfection

This is one of Shawn's best.  He captures the acoustics beautifully and he has a really full tone when he sings.  Its just a beautiful work, I recommend it.  It really calms you down and his songs are so down to earth.  They can be applied to your life in so many ways, its just a huge blessing for me.
