Dear Fellow Music Listeners,
I, the marvelously modest mollusk, Mr. Snail, have traveled the world high and low (mostly low), searching for the most exquisite Halloween records in both the animal and vegetable kingdoms to spin at my infamous Halloween parties, and that sort of journey takes quite a long time for a snail if I must say so myself! The results of my recent findings are hereby contained in this compilation disc, an eclectic mixture of frightfully delightful tunes spanning the stranger side of the musical spectrum, with plenty of rock at its most rolly.
Some of these tracks are newly realized interpretations of Halloween classics such as the Dust Jackets' eerie take on the theme from "Mad Monster Party" Ego Plum's vivacious version of "This Is Halloween", and Mike Odd & the Oddities terrible trip down a "Nature Trail to Hell." The majority of the album is filled with freshly exhumed rarities in the form of Jad Fair's "The Pit", the Ghastly Ones' "Graveyard Shift", Parry Gripp's "Sasquatch", Nightmare of the Elf's "Mortal Coil" and unearthed gems from the past like Night of the Creeps' "Zombie Girl."
We here at the Snail Sounds recording company would love nothing more than to share this fine music with fine humans such as yourself and and we hope this album will inspire you to have your own Halloween party at any time of any season.
Sincerely,
Mr. Snail

Mr. Snail’s Halloween Party is a magical, scary fairytale. It’s a compilation album and it’s totally unique. It’s reminiscent of A Nightmare Before Christmas, The rocky Horror Picture show and Alice in Wonderland all rolled up into an album. The album is amusing and unusual. Mr. Snail’s Halloween Party is a distinctive, well thought compilation; listening to it is a like listening to a story told on the rides at Disneyland. Every track is unlike the one before. This theatrical album is jam packed with fantastical, jazzy songs like, “Mr. Creepy Man” performed by Uncertain. Songs like, “Psycho”, performed by Roll M.C, have hip hop style and rap vocals. Songs like, “Nature Trail to Hell”, performed by Mike Odd & the Oddities, have a dramatic punk rock vibe, that would stir any Dead Kennedys fan; Tracks like, “The Pit”, performed by Jad Fair, sound like spooky audio from the Lord of the Rings. “The Blob”, performed by The Metrolites, is a fun, blast from the past, song with playful saxophone and a retro chorus. The Mr. Snail’s Halloween Party collection is bursting with so many outstanding songs, 25 to be exact. It’s a great listen for those who appreciate unconventional, alternative music. If you’re looking to entertain your ears this is a quirky, eccentric, first-rate choice.
