Album Notes

Snake Davis is often referred to as the UK’s leading saxophonists, playing alto, soprano, baritone and tenor saxes, flutes, whistle and shakuhachi. Snake has found his own style, which has resulted in a number of young up and coming saxophonists using him as their modern day role model.

His greatest influences have been King Curtis and the Brecker Brothers. He was brought up with Motown classics and soul music – all which have helped influenced the sound so many people recognize as “Snake Davis” . The press sometimes find it hard to slot him into a set genre, but that’s partly why so many people love his music, it is soul, funk, world jazz.
