Album Notes

Mark Snider is celebrated as a guitarist in the Ohio area. For twenty-five years he has played every style of music from Rock -n- Roll, Jazz, Flamenco, New Age and Classical. His first CD called "Living Water" was co-authored with long time friend Mark Humbert.

Snider states that "music is truly a gift, in fact, many of my compositions actually write themselves. I am merely a vessel that the music comes through rather than the originator. "For example, one winter evening when the snow was falling intensely, I was watching my dogs in the backyard playing in the snow. I could see each snow flake falling in the light. Through the trees in the backyard I could see the river. The moonlight reflected off the river and I could see the reflections despite the darkness. The music for Snowy River came on the evening that I just described."

Mark Snider's rare combination of dramatic playing and eloquent musicianship has captivated audiences all around Ohio. Mark has played at numerous locations in Ohio including the Schuster Center in Dayton. He has performed with well- known Ohio guitarist Eric Loy and has studied with world-class Classical Guitarist Michal George. Mark Snider and his wife, Donna, reside in Dresden, Ohio. At the heart of his dedication to performance and recording is a deep commitment to the Christian faith.
