Album Notes

Hailing from the cold desolate northeast, Sofakingz are metal and hard rock's answer to a lack of Pantera-like fun, energy and power in live music and entertainment. In just 3 years in New York's capital, Sofakingz have amassed a local cult like following. Their musical style is a potent mix of the heaviest, funkiest, most melodic, and dirtiest riffs all put together in an effort to create the most aggressive yet fun and compelling live shows around. Power, aggression, passion and pride fueled by P.B.R sums up an evening with the Sofakingz.
The band has been together since 2002. In 3 short years has come from winning its first small local battle of the bands to playing in front of some of the industry's most respectable acts like: Static-X, Simple Plan, Ludacris, Hoobastank, Cold, Three Days Grace, and dozens more. In 2003, Sofakingz placed 3rd in a nationwide battle of the bands, representing the northeast and being the only heavy act in the country that made it to the finals.
Sofakingz was started in Atlanta, Ga. by brothers Chad and Judd Foster. After 2 years of hip-hop driven Atlanta, Working in Sony-AMI studios with producer Anthony Dent.( whose credits include Puff Daddy, and Destiny's Child) Sofakingz moved back to the Northeast after an unfortunate series of unreliable musicians and events. There they acquired bassist Ron Fowler and drummer Art Marotta. Two extremely talented musicians whose talents propelled them to the level they are at today.
Sofakingz are a band with the drive, the love, the tools and aspirations to make it to the highest levels of their profession!

"When you have girls dancing at a metal show, you're doing something right. Crowds love this band, they're great entertainers"

I recently picked up the 1:11 ALBUM and found it to be a great CD. Bringing multiple generes together this band is sure to do great things. Metal not being my first choice for sound, i was hesitant at first, but after listening to the album, I am a new fan of the artist and quite possibly metal as a genre.
